Kids Summer Art Camp - Tiny Home Designers Week - June 10th-14th

Dream big, build small during Tiny Home Designers Week! From June 10th to 14th, budding architects and interior designers aged 7-13 are invited to Ollie Pop Craft Shop to bring their miniature dream homes to life. Over the course of the week, campers will transform a simple wooden structure into a fully furnished and decorated abode. Here’s what our tiny home designers will be crafting:

Design & Build Itinerary:

• Monday: Wooden House Assembly

  • Start the week by constructing the basic wooden house structure from pre-cut pieces, focusing on assembly techniques and ensuring stability for your dream home.

• Tuesday: Wall Painting and Wallpapering

  • Dive into interior design by painting the walls or applying homemade wallpaper, exploring color schemes and the impact of wall treatments on the perception of space.

• Thursday: Miniature Furniture Building & Decorative Pillows

  • Miniature Furniture Building: Craft furniture pieces from balsa wood and various fabrics for key rooms, such as cozy beds for bedrooms and stylish sofas for living rooms.
  • Decorative Pillows: Sew miniature pillows to add a touch of comfort and color to your tiny home, learning basic sewing skills along the way.

• Friday: Wall Art, Photos, Plant Life, and Room Accessorizing

  • Design and create tiny paintings or print out miniature photos to adorn the walls.
  • Bring your home to life with crafted paper or fabric plants, setting them in handmade pots or vases for a touch of greenery.
  • Add the finishing touches with room accessories like miniature books, dishes, and more for a detailed and realistic look.

Camp Details:

• Ages: 7-13
• Sessions: Morning (9:30am-12:30pm) or Afternoon (1:30pm-4:30pm). We've added an option for both sessions which would allow you to drop off at 9:30am and pickup at 4:30pm. We'll take a break in the middle of the day for lunch.
• Price: $240/week for single sessions and $340/week for double sessions. Team up with a sibling or book multiple weeks for a 10% discount.
• Capacity: Keeping it cozy with 10 campers per session.
• Cancellation Policy: Life happens! Cancel with 14 days' notice for a 75% refund, within 7 days for a 50% refund, or reschedule within 48 hours. Please note, no discounts or prorates for partial weeks.
• Bring Along: A snack (lunch for dual sessions) and a drink for our break. All crafting magic supplied by us.

A Friendly Note on Creativity and Community: In our studio, creativity blooms, respect reigns, and yes, a bit of mess is part of the magic as we craft our dream tiny homes together. We cherish positive vibes and encourage everyone to share their unique design vision. However, should creativity cross into disruptive territory, we may need to discuss finding a different way to channel that imaginative energy. In rare instances, if we cannot find a way to keep our collaborative environment productive and positive, we may ask a camper not to return, without a refund, to ensure a fantastic experience for the rest of our campers.
